To calibrate a roku tv, you have to have the APP,   the APP won't open UNLESS it has internet.

So,  you can't prevent tv's system software update, IF you want to calibrate the TV.

It's not possible to calibrate your tv WITHOUT internet access. This is ridiculo

Only have the Roku adapter, for Non-Smart Samsung tv - don't like it built into the TV itself.

lol I feel like it's not that bad to have internet enabled on your TV. I'm a fan of roku tv's since the remote is so simple and the roku tv's I've had are super responsive. speaking of which I got my C2 in. I realized I can't use G-Sync over HDMI 2.0 so my 1080 is screwed since there's no display port on the TV...the PS5 experience is great though

Yeah I was stumped too. My friend was over and he was trying to tell me something about that, but I didn't believe him. Apparently for GTX series cards it only worked on display port back then when G-Sync first came out. I forgot about this detail but it sounds right now that I recall it. So as I understand it you need to be on display port or hdmi 2.1 for g-sync to even work, don't think the resolution matters. So for my case I'm screwed on the 1080, the displayport to hdmi 2.1 adapters don't work either. It's all good though, I actually bought this TV because I realized that PS5 fits my gaming use case right now and I didn't have to dump like $1000 to upgrade the PC and I could instead spend it on a monitor and just play with keyboard and mouse on PS5.

Tp4 realizes there are big-brain solutions to this, just mentioning the terribad design.

Setup custom router, find out which site the tv's pinging, block sites, hope the tv is visible on network and doesn't require some authentication from app which goes through said site.  < bad design >

the phone itself still needs internet to open the roku app, without internet, the app just crashes, so what if Tp4 goes off grid in the future, or there's a CME, Tp4 won't be able to watch his movies with proper calibrated pictar quality.
