Still getting away with using a Lexmark SSK at work :D

Man my coworker threatened to kill me from the noise made with Cherry MX Reds, and even this one Chicony rubber dome board that had a noisy spacebar.

If I brought my Model M to work I'd probably get executed on the spot, lol!

One other guys here pounds his keyboard so hard he's crushed the Ctrl key.

Another guy has a Ducky with MX blues (actually my keyboard that he is borrowing).

So noisy keyboards are kinda a thing.

There's only one guy that complained about the noise and he moved right down the other end of the office.

The guy pounding his kb reminds me of an incident I completely forgot about until now:
My boss at a newspaper editing office many years ago typed so vehemently that he destroyed 2 rubberdome keyboards in the 2 weeks that I worked there. He was a short, scrawny guy with a high, crackly voice...not who I'd picture as having hammer fingers. He mentioned to me that the office manager was tired of replacing his boards so often. He said he just liked typing hard.  :p
You know this story is true because it's boring.

I remember a guy at a car dealership i was at a while back,  the whole table rattled when he was typing.  idk if that's just his way of showmanship,  but he was all proud of how he's killed 12 dell keyboards already ..

still the same board I use at work that I posted some time ago, but now with matching white marble wrist rest:

I know, wrist rest is not good for the wrists but here its: aesthetics > health (I'm not using one at home + a vertical mouse, so it cancels itself out a bit in my head...)

I am also typing on an ISO Novatouch.  Though it doesn't look quite as good as riocs.  Also photo is potato

Spray painted case, silenced with ironed landing pads, drawer liner in the case, Pexon cable, keycaps are OG Dyesubs and Hadapter bits (non cherry profile PBT spacebar, and I need a FN key!)

You shouldn't rest your wrists on a wrist rest while typing, you should float your wrists above it. Nothing wrong with having a wrist rest to rest your wrists on while not typing, as far as I'm aware, no matter what material it is.

I know what you mean Ander. Every time I see this thread, I keep thinking "THE SAME KEYBOARD!" And if you don't know what it is, there are plenty of posts on it!

Worn-down, shiny Red Alert GMK back on my 356 Mini after having OG dyesubs on it for a while. Forgot how good shiny GMK feels, I think I prefer it on this board since I can't put the full OG dyesubs set on (mods + spacebar don't fit on the WK + shoft shift layout).

Anyone else starting to get the (admittedly nice) problem of not knowing which keyboard out of your fleet to use each day because you now own a few that you'd consider a dream board?

Feel like this is the same problem Jay Leno has when deciding what to take to work that day.

Wish all of my "problems" were like this  ;D

Not quite there yet.
But I am satisfied with the current daily driver I'm using and that's been a problem for me for a long long time.
I used to switch almost daily because I just wasn't feeling the layout/switch of the board I'm using - I don't have that problem at the moment.

Still lookin' for the perfect TKL.

Yes, I'm very happy with it! It is my first ortholinear keyboard, so I can't really compare it to the Planck. I chose the full aluminum version and was actually expecting the aluminum base to be hollow, so I was planning to put some shelf liner to dampen the sound, but it turns out the bottom piece is actually a solid piece of aluminum and I don't think there would even be enough space for the shelf liner :P But yea, the solid aluminum base adds some really nice weight to the keyboard. Obviously, having the aluminum base means that I can't really take advantage of the RGB underglow, but that doesn't bother me. As for software, it uses QMK, so that's awesome. Overall, it's a great keyboard.

Nice Cyrillic key caps, but the mix with Tai Hao looks a bit off.
