Here is the full set up that I am currently using.  My initial goal was to have a desk that absolutely no one in the office can sit down at and use.  Goal accomplished ;D

Thats my goal. Colemak+Dactyl+trackball seems to be my endgame.  I have no fatigue after being at a desk all day.  Although the numpad will get replaced at some point to better match the 3d printed dactyl case.

In that setup what's your perfered method for typing numbers? the number row or the numpad?

I definitely don't think I could get used to it. I've tried an ergo board before with QWERTY and even with that I was having a lot of trouble.

It all depends on the situation.  I work in the printer industry so I have to take down meter reads when I remote into clients.  For this I use left hand on keyboard and right on numpad.  This lets me label the black color and total with bct. I also find I type a lot of IP addresses so I use the num pad for that as well.

If it is just 1 or 2 numbers I will stick with the keyboard num row (like I did in this sentence).  I tried mapping a layer to act as num pad but never liked it.

I have added an enter key to both dactyl sides and the numpad.  As well as a left righ error to both dactyls.  I find this lets me get around easily if one hand is on the mouse or num pad.

I have been using this Planck for almost 2 weeks now and really enjoying it.

It has PMK SA sublimated keycaps and Kailh BOX White switches. I am using the below layout, which works well for programming and is based on this https://noahfrederick.com/log/the-planck-keyboard

Tap for ESC, hold for CTRL ... Tap for (, hold for Shift ... and so on
GUI and Nav are additional layers

Work - ASWD V2 silent reds , avid media composer keys

Home - Stock FC660C Pic below.  Hoping to add silenced rings but haven't gotten around to that yet.  So far enjoying it.  Odd curve for me.  I won't lie I kind of wasn't enjoying it early on, but as time went on I began to love it.  Really enjoy it a lot, even for video editing. Working on a smaller keyboard has forced me to tighten my shortcuts and has actually sped up my work slightly.

Normally I use my RF 87 w/ 45g for a daily keyboard, but I just got done converting my 122 to ANSI - it's been a long time in the making! It's finally wired up to a teensy and now all I have to do is wait for a spacebar wire and rod insert to come in the mail. Un-cutesy picture:

I finally get why people complain about putting them back together, it's a little obscene.

Just put my HP with my work bag to take up to the office tomorrow. So it's back to the boring old GH60 with Gateron Browns. I've been on the cusp of upgrading this thing's internals for about six months now, but I keep changing what switch I want to move to. First it was Jailhouse Blues, then Outemu Ice Purples, then Box Burnt Orange. Now I'm drooling over those Box Royals. And literally just this moment I realized that my Backspace key is starting to go out. I wonder if that's a bad solder joint (I know I'm not the best solderer) or a ****ed up contact leaf.

How about these?

These are both Phosphorglow restorations.

The one on the left is from 1991, and is stock.  The one on the right was made in 1990 - today is its birthday, in fact - and sharp eyes will notice that Phosphorglow put in blue LEDs for me.  It also has Phosphorglow's "Colossus" USB conversion.

Cool.  That's a blast from the past for me.  I used ergo boards for quite a long time.  At first it was a bastard to get used to them.  Then I got so used to them that switching back to a flat board was hard.  Eventually it all sorted out.

Time to build your wife her own PC with a backlit keyboard or something. Then switch your system to Colemak just to really mess with her mind.

My home board is a Varmilo VA68M with Box Navy switches and (for now) Maxkey SA White on Black.  I'll be putting SA Oblivion on this board when it arrives.

At work, I generally switch between two boards, but the Leopold FC980M gets a bit more use. MX Clear with a combination of the Cherry Dyesub Carribbean and Cheese sets:

Second work board is the Vortex Vibe with MX Clear and SA Ashen:

I have the Apex M650 (which claims per key lighting but doesn't have it) blue switch which is otherwise very nice, and the Tecware Phantom 104 blue switch which I prefer because I like to set each key to a different colour.

Very low end boards compared to most of the kb on here, but they suit my needs.

At work, I generally switch between two boards, but the Leopold FC980M gets a bit more use. MX Clear with a combination of the Cherry Dyesub Carribbean and Cheese sets:

Second work board is the Vortex Vibe with MX Clear and SA Ashen:

Love the inclusion of the numpad while still retaining a smaller footprint. What is this layout called? Sorry, I am just a noob.

The middle layout is called compact 1800 layout. There are slightly more compacted versions of that as well, often called 96 key. I don't think there's really a name for the bottom one, as the Vibe is the only board I've seen that really has it. It's basically a 60%+Numpad.

The Apple IIgs keyboard did it ages ago ;)

New here (first post!).

I received my WhiteFox (Cherry MX Clear) earlier this week.

Currently using with GMK Yuri (using `Delete` because I am missing a proper sized `Backspace`...).
