It's very common for pseudo-documentaries to point fingers at PET OWNERS, and how THEIR desire for a certain physical appearance of a -dog breed- over the course of the 100 years has generated the Preservation and Proliferation of Deformities Purposefully instigated upon the Pupper population.
HOWEVER... This is a straight up lie and misdirection by the Pet-Meds (Pharmacon Industry).
They sponsor (indirectly) the World's dog shows and registrars.
They Build the majority of winner characteristics behind aesthetics.
What does this do ??
Almost all modern dog breeds have SIGNIFICANT congenital genetic defects which lead to chronic illness.
This happens because they're bred to have physical features, which are more often than not deformities due to genetic illness.
This is where the dollar bills come in.. All of these defective animals now need Veterinary care..
It takes billions of dollars to make medicine for humans, but for dogs ?
Not only is there less strict testing standards..
If a human drug made you loopy and slurred your speech, you can sue, and the company has to pull the drug, losing their million dollar investments..
If a dog drug made the dog bark in a funny way.. oh well, it's learned a new trick apparently. Long term, if it made the dog slightly brain damaged, well now it rocks its head back and forth in a silly way, how cute.

I am all for capitalism, but why can't people find less evil ways to make money.. is it really so difficult.. ?
