"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Hi, I'm Michael Halverson, welcome to the church.

It's been quite quiet in here these days, but it's always here.

Life has its ups, life has its downs. Sometimes you're happy, sometimes your sad. We're always here for any of these times.

It's 2016, make it your year. Don't hold back, do what you need to do. Chase that happiness, follow your gut.

Always feel free to pm for any needs as well.

Love, peace, and chicken grease!

Yeah, Mississippi. But everything is a bit up in the air at the moment, so I could be somewhere different in a few months. Probably the deep south still, but who knows.

10th grade

But since I'm home schooled (Online) and with a mixture of procrastination and depression, I'm a bit behind on my studies, so I'm just trying to catch up to what I should be.

Life has been chaotic and my family isn't really what you'd call normal, so it's a bit difficult at times.

Oh man, at least you're not deeply ingrained at a high school. Home school must be interesting and id imagine hard at times.

Between moving and abnormal family, must be pretty rough on ya. You need some solid friends yo, and us Internet folk can't fully cut it.

Socializing is a bit difficult at the moment, considering we're staying somewhere that is 13 miles to the closest town.

Plus I'm pretty inept at starting conversation. :p

Current situation is why I'm going to really put an effort to get finish school and move out. I have a hard time living the way we do.

So is 2016 the year where we start up the Church of Halverson public access Television  show? Speaking the gospel of Girlshark?

Ain't nobody got time for that! Let's just love one another. And people should just talk more. And we should hang with friends more.
Good point. Instead lets start up the a geekhack commune. Love and good times, all the time.

So dude, you recently moved right?
Yeah, Mississippi. But everything is a bit up in the air at the moment, so I could be somewhere different in a few months. Probably the deep south still, but who knows.

And what year of school are you in?

Without a vehicle, yea that friggen sucks. Even with one, that's a bit of driving.

Oh man, I'm very shy. That's why I like drinking or being with at least one person. That's when I can work some magic. Then again, it's 2016 now so no worries and no regrets.

Yea dude, can you go beyond the normal curriculum and finish earlier time wise? I know it'd be hard but that would probably put you in a better place sooner than later.

Yeah I'm either going to just steamroll through the regular curriculum or if it's possible just do a GED test or something of that nature.

And after I have moved out head off the college so I can actually do what I want to do.  :)

I mean if I actually put effort into it, I can finish high school before I'm 18.

Guess we'll get along great! I'll see you soon in the bay, dude. I'll buy us a couple bottles of fernet.
