But murr hurr I prefer pictures shot on real FILM cameras. I'm boycotting the DIGITAL Netflix look!!!

Dey got injected Digi-film grain just for connoisseurs such as yourself.

In all seriousness though a lot of the Netflix shows have a somewhat similar “clinical” look, probably because they followed the same production guideline (which doesn’t look bad at all, they have really really high requirements). Thanks to Netflix we have some of the most eye pleasing shots of food porn (Chef’s Table) and the most expensive looking TV ever (The Crown).

Digi film grain also looks great in Stranger Things.

Digi-film grain looks fine when done right.  But sometimes, if they make the grain size too large, because it's not a truly random distribution, what ends up happening is the chroma / scaling algorithm of various systems turn the grain into checker boxes.

Considering getting into Obduction, the spiritual sequel to Myst and Riven. It's been out a while but I only even learned it existed the other day. Was a huge fan of both games when I was younger. Also really enjoyed games like The Witness. But Obduction for some reason I am a little hesitant because apparently the devs made it way too easy and basically point out the clues to you rather than have you figure it out yourself, and to me that's sort of a dealbreaker.

I made a pass through Gunpoint. Simple little game that was fun. I plan on making another pass through it later.

Currently playing through Shadow Warrior. This game is really goofy but so far it's been a good time.

Oh man! AoE2 was my game back in the day! It was a smooth transition from Starcraft. I bought the HD version on Steam a while back but haven't really played it.  :(

Never played this game before. It's a lot of fun. The first farming game I've ever played.

I should try Harvest Moon one of these days.

I am not Mad Max fan but i spend countless hours in Crossout.

If some one is interested to try it out, here is my advice: don't waste your time (or money) to get legendary weapons or to reach high end power score. You will get the most fun in the range between 5k and 6k power score and with blue weapons.

Currently shuffling between Resident Evil: Revelations (Raid Mode), Resident Evil 2 (remake), and Rise of the Tomb Raider (which I've never played before.)

On Resident Evil 2 I'm playing Leon 2nd Run. I've officially decided I hate Adult G-Spawn....

Probably they're just really busy playing it, most satisfying combat but also one of the most challenging games I've played. I have no doubt some bosses will take me days to beat.

I’m your steam friend and you never saw me playing? I was even streaming myself dying over and over and over and over.

I got sort of fed up with deflecting and took a break for slime rancher and multiplayer wargroove though.

Limbo is freaking great, I loved it:)
I finsihed it two times.
Graphics are amazing, giving the whole spirit and aura of that place.

Little Nightmares were similar, also I suggest you to try it, really good one, similar to Limbo. Play of colors and light, really cool.

Now, I played Soma for about 2 minutes and cannot do it anymore. It is SO scary... Last time I almost s*** my pants during game was like 13 years ago plyaing Fear.

How replayable is Limbo?  For me the best part is working out the solutions to the puzzles.  Once you've done that, it would pretty much be just eye candy on a re-run.

Little Nightmares noted for future reference, thanks :)

Limbo wore thin for me. It got a bit repetitive the first go around, and it severely lacks replayability unless you are one to go for clear times, because every puzzle pretty much just has the one solution,

I'd recommend a game called Inside. It improves on every single facet of Limbo while remaining faithful to that feel, play style, and aesthetic. Although again there is not much in the way of replay due to the nature of the game, but there is much more of it and it is done better than Limbo is. So if you're looking for an indie faceless shadow child dying brutally game, try Inside instead.

Inside noted for future reference, thanks :)

Got to finish Limbo first, which means finding the time ...

I think I finished Limbo during a physics class, amazing game but surprisingly too short.

More Sekiro, getting better. Tomorrow getting Yoshi for switch. Perhaps grabbing risk of rain 2 for me and a bud.

Hmmm maybe some risk of rain 2 stream tomorrow night for my birthday drunken evening.

I forget how many hours I’m in, spent a good chunk of time farming yesterday. I’ve explored the best I can and left many of the hard parts to come back to, I’ve even made a list and going through it slowly. So far I’ve done two strength upgrades and four vit/post upgrades, as well as 8 gourd seeds found.

Yeah, I've been doing some farming as well. It definitely makes things a bit easier. I'm still pretty early, I just got to Lady Butterfly yesterday

She was definitely the hardest fight for me still.

The game in general has been a steep difficulty for me, even though I love the souls games. Regardless of the game I never use parry or block, so focusing on deflecting has been interesting haha

Yeah, I played a little Sekiro today and I don't like it. Too finicky and specific with it's mechanics, and the older I get the less patience I have for doing the same thing over and over and over again because I didn't do something within a fraction of a second. I don't have the patience or want to improve for this kind of game, it's just not fun to me. The parry mechanic has always been my absolute least favorite part of Souls games, and this entire game is built around just that. Done with it.

It gets worse for parry later on even. Parry parry parry. I’m still chugging along. I suck but can’t give up now. I’m 31 today and I ain’t gone give up.

It's always surprising to see how different people's experiences are with From's games. For me she was easily the most relaxed fight, granted I died on 1st attempt but I took her down with ease the second time. The 1st miniboss (General something) gave me so much more trouble and later on the dude on the watchtower nearly broke me mentally.

Yup, it’s always neat to see which characters we have a harder or easier time with. Can’t believe you did her so easy though haha

I killed a couple mini bosses first try today and then one took me a good hour or so. Guess it’s good I don’t have any real subscribers on twitch yet haha

I guess it's because her perilous attacks were pretty easy to tell and not very fast or I was just lucky haha.

One mini boss with a long spear (Seven Ashina Spears) is kicking my butt so hard that I honestly don't want to bother with him for now... the minibosses in this game are super tough.

And you can't say that without linking your twitch : P.

Mikiri Counter is the key imo, if you're not using it already. Just a half-second after seeing the Perilous symbol for the lunge (and when locked onto his position) press forward + dodge and Sekiro will slam his spear onto the ground dealing a chunk of posture damage. Apart from that deflecting the attacks and getting in some hits here and there without leaving too much room for him to regain posture and it's over fairly quickly. Took a while to get it all right though, *wew*.

Yeah I got familiar with Mikiri counter fighting the boss on the watchtower so no problem countering his thrust attack. It's just that his other attacks break my posture in 1 shot unless I managed to deflect it!!

Was playing Anthem, thankfully I only subscribed to Origins for a month; got my fix before the dumpster fire was a full on blaze. Not that it was any sort of good (Quality) when it initially was released; I still had some fun while it was fresh.

Currently playing Risk of Rain 2, I don't normally like Roguelikes; however this one has maintained my attention. Overall, fun gameplay; imo plays similar to Wildstar's combat. It's a pre realease version, so some things are not developed yet; but when it releases I think it'll be substantially better, not to say it's bad now. Still really good.. Hoping for more stages more enemy variety, as usual.

Been on the Division 2 the past few days. Not a big fan of Ubisoft, but the game looked fun and kept getting hounded by a few friends to get it. It's decent enough to have wringed out my weekend at least, haha.

Been making good progress in Demon's Souls lately. I booted the game up last week only to discover my 20hr save file was deleted/saved over for some reason so I started over. Sucks because that means I can't ever get the Old Monk's Head Wrap ever again, that item's gone forever.

I have started (for third time as far as I remember) Splinter Cell Black List. I tried this couple of times in the past but never completed.
This time I've done 5 missions so far, so going good. I loved Spliner Cell series, to be honest new one would nice after 6 years break.

So far 35 hours into Division 2.
Loving it, it's more of what I enjoyed from the first one.
Currently only on world tier 1, grinding my way up.

Picked up Earth Defense Force 2025 which is super fun, despite it's flaws. A pretty ambitious game for the PS3. Wish I had a PS4 to play the updated version that still has online going, but playing as the Wing Diver class is a blast.
