Miffed..

what is the literal meaning of miffed..

Seems almost onomatopoetic.

*disgusted face* Miff.

Miffed is quite low on the annoyedness scale, although can be used to describe an annoyance of greater magnitude depending on context. For example the British were quite miffed when the Nazis invaded Poland.

Miffed is quite low on the annoyedness scale,

The English were always the masters of understatement.

I have to laugh when some monumental assault of pain and suffering is referred to as: "a spot of bother"
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Coincidentally, I received my very first SSD hard drive in the mail this thread opened (August 1st), but only post now because I took a photo of it ~

I want to thank Bro Caps for this beautiful thing <3 All for the sake of loading GTA V faster. LOLOLOL!!!

Ironically, my computer DIED the day before this SSD arrived, and I narrowed it down to it being half of my RAM dying... so I'm on 4GB of RAM now, which means I can't play GTA V until I get more RAM, but at this point, I think I'm just going to build a new PC. My current one is from 2009... ^_^;;

I'll be sure to update when I finally have this SSD up and running!!! I CAN'T WAAAAIIIIITTTT!!!

It's nothing fancy.  It's a spare I had lying around and I'd recommend using it as a game drive or something once you can afford a good one.

bought a corsair force GT refurbed for dirt cheap back in the day. Paid $90 for a 120gb SSD when the average price was well over $150 for the average 120gb SSD.

Still works to this day and I use it as my main boot drive. If it ever fails well the only thing lost is a day of reinstalling OS and programs

Make a clone of your boot partition now.. Your down time goes from 1 day to 20 minutes.

Except I like reinstalling my OS every now and then, especially when I'm changing hardware (not that it matters with SSDs though).

Yea man...

SSD speed boost is NOT HYPE...

It's all TOO REAL...

It's like,  when you smoke your 15th cigarette,  and you start to like it..

But you don't have to cough through the first 14 cigarettes with an SSD,  it's instant 15th.

This.
There is no hype, only performance.

It'll also make using any non-SSD PC unbearable to use.

My best metaphor would be: It's like trying to use a PC with no internet.

So..  I rr..  just bought 2x  480gb Sandisk Extreme Pro..

Now let me explain .. 1 is for my laptop.. and the other for my brother n'law

even though TBH, i don't think the extreme pro is a good fit for mobile..   The price was pretty good and lowest by far for this drive.

it's on the amazon for only $159.99 each, if ya'll r nterested.

I DO FEEL LIKE I'm being tricked somehow, because the price is much lower than I would've expected.

Ebay has 850 EVO for $150  + tax for me

Amazon has the Sand-Extreme Pro for $160 + tax for me..

This is super hard decision...... HALP

Get an 850 Pro, don't look back.

I have a bunch of 850Pros ..  but if I were to buy more drives TODAY..   what would I buy..   I wouldn't buy 850Pros at their current price..

So today I have 2 choices..  the $150 850 Evo,  or the $160 Sandisk Expro

The extreme pro is a bit more time tested, with MLC and such..

The EVO is slightly faster (but samsung cheats so who knows).. and there's the Whole TLC thing that everyone's still shifty-eyes about..

I recently jumped to an 850 Pro 128GB from an OCZ Agility 2 64GB. It honestly didn't feel like the jump did from HDD to SSD but a noticeable difference indeed.

I think if I were in your shoes right now, I'd go for the Sandisk. I went back and forth between Sandisk, Intel, and Samsung.
