Might I suggest an alternative which could potentially be a lot more fun?  I say potentially because I can't actually think of anything I'd want them to do but you have more imagination :)

That's pretty kewl Sorang,  I think the earbuds world is similar to dash cam where there are only a few silicons that every builder is using in different cosmetic shells.

You got apple, samsung with custom silicon, then everyone else probably uses something out of qualcomm, or worse some other guy. the drivers/armature difference is probably immaterial given the tiny displacement.

That is interesting, more options than I expected and no mention of the BES used in the PineBuds so it's not even complete list.  There are only a handful of armature makers (smaller than traditional drivers) but there are a lot of different models specialising in different frequencies, I doubt they're using multiple drivers as they need room for a battery.

I've had wired earphones for 20+years and only once when it caught on the oven door did I consider the wire an inconvenience, compared to remembering to charge wireless ones it's no contest to me.

Now if they were to think a little differently they could design a wireless earbud with a "huge" battery (AAA?) that doubled up as an earhook - would last ages and fall out less.  Maybe I should try and patent the idea...

You're thinking of those lg neckband headphones, it's like a necklace.

I honestly can't figure out why they bother to use armature except as a gimmick, because if the frequency range is so narrow, you have to cross over, it's inherently more distortion.

Regular drivers are already pretty near ideal in the tiny excursion range required in earbuds.

Doesn't a necklace require a specific size neck/ear spacing while earhooks are universal?  A necklace with a single big battery would be lighter though, and while they would fall out easier than if clipped to the ear they're not going to get far...

My favourite earphones are dual armature but just wired in parallel with no crossover circuitry, second favourite are a single big wooden dynamic driver.  Haven't tried any costing anywhere close to these for ... 6-7 years(!) so maybe it's not really relevant today.

Apparently this is becoming a thing with them, especially prime.

It used to be "2 day" shipping meant 2 days to your door, now it;s 2 days from when they decide to ship. Some people have even had it give them a week before it shipped, order a second and get it in two days, cancel the other.

Don't trust them, especially at the holidays.

Been happy with my Monster Clarity 8.0's, especially since I was able to snag them for $40 back in July (currently are on sale again for that price too). 10hr playtime and 50hrs over-all with the case - also case allows wireless charging or type-c.
