Anyone know of any 8 pin connectors?
« on: Mon, 03 September 2018, 08:14:45 »
I'm making a split keyboard with 4x4 on each side. I think it's too trivial for i2C/Serial if there is a cheap and accessible cable out there with 8 pins. Anyone have recommendations?

Is there a size restriction for the connector? Plain old Ethernet cables/plugs are 8 pin but the plugs/receptacles are a bit bulky.

RJ45? Good suggestion.

Regarding size, I would prefer as small a connector as possible -- I was considering USB-C since it has more than enough ports (enough to implement reversibility as well, if that isn't too hard).

You could use a 8-Pin PCI-E Power Cable   ;)

I would recommend DIN connectors. Should at least be visually pleasing, if you find on, you like Shamelessly inserted Google image search result
