Diabro Blade 12"
« on: Wed, 05 December 2018, 14:36:47 »
Just tested it out on new dws779 miter..

208375-0

Pros:

Smooth cutting..

Flawless finish, even with high cut speed.

Virtually no blowout bottom or back

Definitely no sanding required..

Cons:

Makes an extreme shrieking noise..  (Not sure if my blade is broken)

Extremely Thin plate.. ?!?!?

The vibration dampener must be a gimmick, cuz WTH, it's so high pitched..

Cost twice as much as other brands..

That's nice and all but do you still have your fingers?

I haven’t tried that exact blade but am surprised that it is so noisy. As a general rule, the smaller gullets from the greater number of teeth usually make the blade quieter. A miter saw’s blade will seem noisier than the same blade in a tablesaw. The blade noise is dampened by most of it being contained in the tablesaw’s body.

Yea I called up the Diabro peeps,  they said something may be wrong with the blade..

I tried several blades, hitachi , cheap overpeak, dewalt vanilla, none make this shrieking sound..

The noise isn't during the cut, only when free spinning..

Wish I could use a saw without being squeamish
