Liquorice fudge. (the sweet variety)

Not that common. Even here in Sweden where people eat liquorice, you'd have to hunt to find it.

Dark chocolate, with sour hard candy as a distant second.
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

If chocolate doesn't count as candy, it's probably blackboard chalk liquorice.

The "blackboard chalk" candy is of course not actual chalk. They are just called that because of what they look like.
They have a soft salt liquorice centre with mint coating

Love those! I think the candy is originally from Denmark.

American chocolate is often lackluster when compared to more "artisan" chocolates. That being said a Butterfinger has a texture that is unique to itself, but the Butterfinger BBs were the perfect size. Current production candy that is off the wall, but great are Zero bars (caramel, peanut, and almond nougat, with a layer of white chocolate fudge) or Salted Nut Rolls (Peanuts, Caramel & Nougat).
