This is clearly not about covid,  they're media propelling a crazed obese black woman as an icon to diminish the BLM movement.

The entire purpose to this farce is to create a negative media image of black people.  It's easy to h8 on someone like that.. It's shameful of republicans to pull this. But heck no one is surprised. They know who their voters are.

I mean, he demonstrably is *shrug* it's become a bit of a meme to turn anyone criticising him into an 'orange man bad' argument, but that's not how discourse works.

I'm in the UK, so have no dog in this race, but sit at an objective position to be terrified by his existence.

The United States is a dumpster fire. If Trump wins the election, the rest of the world must detach and back away or it will get pulled down when the US sinks. It can only get worse than in 1929.

It's incredible how bad the US got in a mere 6 years, and how seeing the dumpster fire it's become so quickly, some folks still support Trump.

You can't change some people's minds with things like reality logic and facts.

It really points out how fragile the entire system is. If a country as powerful as the USA can be reduced to it's current state in 6 years, destabilization and unrest seems like an easily achievable thing.

Sadly the US isn't unique in that. We had the same situation in the UK with the referendum vote to leave the EU. It came down to about the same margin as Trumps election too, which is somewhat spooky. We had numerous experts on European law speaking out, explaining that the things being touted as fact by the Leave campaign were simply false. Even now, I'm seeing silly things.

Had somebody the other way telling me that it doesn't matter than an amendment to a bill passed here meant to protect the National Health Service from foreign financial influence, because "EU law already means that things have to be put out to bid". It was in fact a law put into place by the conservative government in 2012 and the EU regulations in fact protect from having to do that. Some people just believe whatever reinforces their own views though, alas.
