well yes they can, raids on servers hosting the data was done with previous leaks if they really do not want the information to stay out it will not, even when if the data is not in servers inside the US.

It's like trying to stop piratebay,  it'll just keep coming back.  And honestly that's not even the critical part.   Soon they'll have no time for stopping the data as they're handling lawsuits.

i thought that data aquired in an unlawful way could not be used in a lawsuit? so i am not sure that there is going to be much of any real repercussion other that a huge PR hit, and a few IT guys fired.
