These scenes.

They encapsulate the inner-persona of the modern corporate ranknfile.

So we have the main characters, they're well groomed, they're clean, fed, well compensated. Yet as Britney Spears put it, "these tears come at night."

The heck, people "in.. " the system have everything they could possibly want within reason, how is it that there's an inner monologue / an inner being that is THIS tragic and forlorn.  It's massively prevalent, or it wouldn't repeatedly be portrayed in media.


It all comes back to the Pizza problem Tp4 alludes to.

You bake pizzas, your life is converted into pizzas.  The buyer takes the pizzas, and instead of eating them, throws them in a river.

You work for a corporation that makes fast fashion, takes fossil fuels + slavery, makes plastics,  more slavery, turns into fabric, more slavery, fast fashion, worn for a day, closet > trash mountain.


So, every step, converts human lives INTO the mountain of garbage, where the making of DESTROYS the ecosystem, where the disposal of permanently (on human time scale) pollutes the world our children are / will be born into. microplastics, obesogen, endocrine disrupter, etc.


It doesn't matter if a person is momentarily "comfortable" a rare scene in human history, the net effect, cumulative endeavor Absent empathic wellness towards the NATURE which all life depends upon, is objectively a Cancer.

There's all sorts of ways we can delude ourselves, and explain it away at the superficial level in our fake economy, but, you can't lie to the inner self,  you KNOW, we ALL KNOW, it's an innate awareness that accomplishment is quite meaningless/ disconnected from any sustainable / livable outcome.

Slave owners KNEW what they were doing, modern economists KNOW most objects are still produced in near slavery conditions. And at the end of "momentary-deluded-happiness" is Payment.   Nature will make its demands on tickets of famine, catastrophic weather, and pestilence.
