Since James Donald Bowman aka James David Hamel aka J.D. Vance will likely be the President of the United States in the not-too-distant future, it seemed appropriate to create a new thread to follow his actions and inactions.

When I read his book (almost 10 years ago!) I put it down with the impression that he was a reasonable young man with a firsthand understanding of what life is like for struggling lower and working class families in this country. And I assumed that that experience would demonstrate to him the disastrous effect of income inequality in the fabric of our society. I would have been beyond astonished to see what would happen between then and now.

Naive, Fohat, you've never been in power, and you don't know what it's like.


Tp4 witnesses this first hand on the daily, as he occupies the juncture.


All of these "wide eye" "do-gooder" "working class"  young people have the initial drive to be-different/ be better,  FOR the people.

That is NOT how our control system is structured.  As soon as they achieve placement, they rudely awaken to the fact that their ideals are IMPOSSIBLE , absolutely-impossible.

The system simply will not allow it, if you do not adhere to the system, you're replaced, or if you fight the system, you die.

That is the calculus of power.

The only time the boat is ever rocked is near the end when the power caves in on itself.

Are we at such point in time, possibly,  but the replacement structure will be identical to the last, as Brutal-Classism is the ONLY way power maintains power.

Trump is still more half-witted than sinister. He is a fascist, but does not understand what that means.

J.D. Vance is more sinister than half-witted. He is proud of being is a fascist, and more dangerous for it.

Trump is all ego, and will do anything for self-preservation and lining his pockets including selling out and destroying his own country. He is extremely dangerous.
