I noticed one side of my space bar had some play(up and down) before feeling the tension when pressing. It was noisier than using the other side.
I took the space bar off and noticed the left + of the cherry stab rested ever so slightly lower than the one on the right side. I could also feel this when I put my fingers on top of each + at the same time.
Now this is a plate mount keyboard so I have no access to the wire at all except for the tiny little bit I can see leading up to the +'s (What the hell are those + things called anyways?)
To fix this all I did was put my finger over top of the right side + lightly holding it down, while I pulled the left side all the way up and hold it for 2 seconds. Now the wire seems to have good memory so it took 3 or 4 times pulling it up for 2 seconds before I noticed the left side + resting at the same height as the right +. I Gently push the space bar back onto the switch all the way and then gently press the right side into position, followed by the left.
Now the space bar is more snug!

Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for you messing up your stabs trying this, I have only tried it once and it worked for me!
