Looking for a specific keyboard..
« on: Tue, 02 October 2012, 15:28:15 »
Hi there,

I'm new here so apologies if this has been answered somewhere else already.

I'm looking for a tenkeyless backlit keyboard with PBT keycaps and Cherry Clear switches. Essentially something like the Deck 82 but with Cherry Clears. I've tried to find something like this but all of the options involve modding existing keyboards (e.g. TG3 BL82 soldering mod). I'd prefer it if the keyboard was a little-less elevated than the TG3/Deck 82s though. Are there any keyboards that are sold as is with these features otherwise I may have to resort to modding (and to learning how to mod a keyboard :p).

Thanks.

Doesn't exist. Your best bet is to get a Deck, and then swap the stem. Alotta work.

Race with whites might be an option, next closest thing to what you are looking for.

TG3 (Company that makes the deck brand) made a BL82 with clears once. They showed up in a GB here a while ago. I don't think you'd be able to find one that easily, though.

I would recommend modding a keyboard, or paying a member to do it.
