MOAR! Perspective and inequity
« on: Sun, 10 March 2013, 12:56:49 »
Possessive compulsive, you might know someone else who has it. :-X

And the forum, where many people post their acquisitions, their treasures, finds and creations, vs the one.  It's unfair, they are all getting such wonderful toys, frequently and consistently.

Just remember, I tell myself, it is ALL OF THEM and just ONE of me, and the 'ALL OF THEM' is just a small fraction of those that are on the forum.  It is not like EVERYONE is getting things and I am not,  it is that MANY INDIVIDUALS are getting things.  I do not need to match each and everything I see.

I enjoy my current obsession and learning about keyboards, but I will control it and I will not let it control me.

P.C. takes on a whole new meaning.

So.. You don't "want" to buy more stuff?

or

You don't want to "compete" at buying more stuff?

But, I mean.. How could anyone consider keyboard purchases a competition, the most expensive keyboard is only $400, and even putting all the most expensive group buys together it doesn't go much over $1000....

Hardly competition level spending...?

Think of all the "just tell me what is the perfect keyboard so I can buy it" newbie threads you have seen posted here.

I can see in your sig that you have several keyboards, just winnow it down to somewhere between 2-10 and GET RID OF EVERYTHING ELSE!

Hold a backup or 2 of the ones you really really like, but get rid of the junk.

Then concentrate on experiments -[ One-at-a-Time ]- to be sure.
Citizens United violates the essence of what made America a great country in its political system. Now it’s just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president.
So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect and sometimes get favors for themselves after the election’s over.”

Really... experiments... to what end....
