lol what's the 2nd color?

Ducky is having fun, I like it!

lol I do agree Ducky is trying a lot of new things lately (new led colors, purple/grey backlit keycaps, and soon the dye sub PBT), which is good for us  :P

I think the makers are busting out all this stuff, because sales are likely slowing down, as the board market is probably saturated by now.

Especially in asia, since asian people are very practical and "frugal". They would buy like 1 or 2 board, and that's that...

Hyde, missalaire meant Duck Shine 2, new colors. Thought I would be excited to see orange backlit since it's my favorite color, but it's too dark of an orange for me.. :(

Too many choices now.

Plus a mechanical keyboard lasts for years (decades?) longer than a RD keyboard, so many people would be in the market for one keyboard a decade (except us poor lot, who try to buy a new keyboard every few weeks).
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Seriously, I wish there wasn't so many choices.  I have three keyboards right now and I think that's already one to many.  Every few days or so I keep making up reasons to buy another keyboard with a different switch, many topre, or a different layout or feature, like black lights.  Ever since I got my third keyboard I give myself reason to switch from keyboard to keyboard.  I can honestly say though that it is quite fun switching from keyboard to keyboard.  If I haven't typed on a specific switch for more than a month or even two, I feel like I experiencing the switches like it was my first time.  I need to stop browsing this site too.  I see a sexy mother ****ing Happy Hacking keyboard and I'm like gotta have that yo.  I gotz to have that, gotz to.

It's really not that bad.. a keyboard tops out around $800 for "non-collectable".... you can't spend much more than $3000

A bit difficult to compare them if the orange backlit board is not out yet :)

I feel like there's not a "huge" difference between ORANGE and RED leds...

In an ideal world I would imagine that the orange would be half way between red and yellow.

If they made a truer Purple LED board that would be awesome, but the pinkish Purple LEDs look awesome. If only I had more immediately disposable income...
