Leaving LEDs on all the time

I have a couple of Ducky Shine (version 1) keyboards.  On at home is on my games rig at the moment and spends most of the time off, unfortunately.

The other one is at work, and although the computer is on 24x7 (so I can RDP from home) I tend to turn the backlighting off.

Is this necessary?

Would there be any long-term undesirable side-effects from leaving the backlighting on 24x7?

And what about the Ducky's pulsing mode?  Damaging at all to the LEDs or circuitry?

NAH... you're not going to wear out LEDs, they produce so little heat, that wear is negligible..

However if the controller is a bit "weak" and it's pushing too many amps... well.... ;D

It was more the PCB circuitry I was wondering about.

NumLock is on most of the time, and the X1 speed adjustment key on Ducky Shines, but I wondered if the whole board lit might be a bit much 24x7.

The first thing to go out would be the "resistors"..  they're quite easily replaceable

Yeah you would be fine leaving them on, the leds will last far longer than the keyboard. My 5 year old G15's lights are still going strong despite being on for at minimum 3 of those 5 years all up. Spacebar is buggered though which is what initiated my foray into mechanical keyboards :)
