New HHK boards ever?
« on: Fri, 03 May 2013, 13:46:02 »
I keep hoping against hope that PFU will decided to release a version of the Lite 2 with Topre switches. When was the last time they developed a new SKU? Color schemes and blank key caps don't count!

Maybe the new Leopold--which I'm seriously considering if someone outside of Asia deigns to sell them--will cause enough of a dip in sales that they'll get off their ass and do something new?

just get in the group buy, it's happening right now.. why hesitate.. the 660 is every bit an improvement on HHKB..

if you're into rubbers... I'd venture to say the 660 is the most elegant solution..

the 87us are just plain ugly, with the big lip on top, only someone who had no choice would buy that..

and the HHKB is missing a few too many keys to be readily useful.

Because I've spent >$300 on keyboards in the last couple of months. Besides I'd rather not pay an extra $40 in shipping.

Which is why I'm hoping they'll make a board with the Lite 2 layout but better switches. Seems like a no brainer. In any case this is the real question behind the post: what is PFU doing?

660 doesn't have dyesub keys; and don't get me started on the insert key...

Everyone is getting in on the 660 and 700R group buys but I'd hesitate given EK is about to do a couple of big restocks on May 5/May 25/June 5.
