People who go to clubs and don't drink are the same kinds of people who go to children's play areas to without children.
There is no good reason (unless you work there ofc) to go a club sober as your only ever going to have a bad time. If I'm not able to drink I wouldn't dream of going to a club because it would be a waste of money and time...

Though I do like ham sandwiches and pickles, damnit I'm just posting things I like to think about again

Well, theres a difference between having gone to a club "that one time" and remained sober,  VS   Consistently Not drinking at a club EVER..

I don't see how you could've gotten the two confused from my posts.

And I still do not see how children's play area came into this.

People do not just pull somethings like that outta the back of their heads..

For you to make that leep, is something of an indication of dare one say, Deviance...? :-X

I'm definately not inviting you to any christmas gatherings. LOL :D

What about the designated driver that likes to see his / her friends or loved ones home safely? I may be a stick in the mud, but I think getting drunk is completely overrated. Then again, nerds never could handle alcohol.

I'm the DD, since i have alcohol intolerance (usually known as the asian allergy to alcohol when you get flushed), last time i drank responsibly was my bachelors party, bestman kept feeding me drinks while another groomsman kept on checking up on me after every drink.

Designated driver for pubs and bar's sure... but a club is a night out... if your the designed driver while your 'friends' go to clubs then you need some better friends who can afford a taxi :P
Being drunk with friends and having a good time is awesome, everything in moderation.

Yeah I guess that's ok too.. but it was more aimed at t4p having a problem with a club/rave when sober, as those places aren't generally the best sober, unless your a social badass and can dance and have fun without needing alcohol

you don't need alcohol if you have some proper hoffmans!
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

I am not ashamed of any music I like to listen to. I am only reluctant to talk about some kinds of music among certain people who are narrow-minded.

I haven't been to any rave since the '90s.. Back then there was never any alcohol at raves. People drank water and soft drinks to refresh themselves ... There were some narcotics at the fringes, but not alcohol. You did not need drugs to enter trance, you could enter a trance from the beat, the music and the dancing if you were persistent and you let yourself. Alcohol would just have messed that up.

Raves were not places to pick someone up for a one-night stand. Those other kinds of dance halls have alcohol to make flirting easier.

I would have to say "The Final Countdown" by Europe.

It has actually been claimed as the worst rock song of all time.

So much. I've been caught out SO many times over the years by my mates and they hound me mercilessly.

Taylor Swift
Katy Perry
Ellie Goulding
Lily Allen

Love the poppy bull**** when I just want something to perk my mood up. It's pretty funny because I usually listen to heavy stuff and played in a death metal band for 5 years.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

I know that feel bro :( Though I listen to practically everything now, I enjoy going back to my roots and listening to some metal every now and then. There's such a stigma that goes along with liking any form of metal. Chelsea Grin, Whitechapel, and Disfigured Elegance were my top three throughout high school. Love me that deathcore. Then of course there was TDWP, whom was the band that got me into metal in the first place ("Dogs Can Grow Beards All Over" FTW) so I can't leave them out of my top choices.

People like to think metalheads are all serial killers, and genuinely bad people, which is completely the opposite. I've met more nice people who listen to metal than I have that listen to Country, Rap, and EDM combined. That being said, I like two of those genres as well.

This is so true. I've been around the local scene for years and can say I've only ever seen a small number of fights in hundreds of gigs. It's pretty hilarious the stereotypes that get thrown around, most metalheads are very intelligent people.
