IMO, the Fisker is hideous. Yeah, it looks like nothing else, but not in a good way. And yes, I've seen one in person.
From what I understand, it was slow given the rated horsepower, cramped for its size, the electric range was abysmal, and the total economy of operation, especially once it dropped into petrol mode, was pretty anemic for a car trying to have eco-credentials. ISTR hearing the real-world was that your fuel costs were comparable to a ~40MPG petrol sedan.
People like to come up with a lot of excuses for Fisker's fate-- "it's cos it was electric", "it's cos the government invested"... the real reason they failed: they built a tech demo, not an car people would enjoy using as such.
