That does really make me mad, that AT&T is basically the only ISP available right now to us in this neighborhood.


I do feel bad for you, though. I think you're the only one in this thread who's slower than I am...both are AT&T. Go figure.


EDIT: I stand corrected, but the only people who are slower than I am in the US are AT&T.

i had att. i know your pain. between the terribly expensive slow speeds and the constant down times i'm surprised i didnt go crazy.

moving to time warner was like the first time i got dsl. and now i feel like it's slow. especially compared to google fiber :(

Apparently, with AT&T, "Pro" qualifies as 3 Mb/s, and is $35/month.



AT&T really needs to step up.


It looks like we're paying about $45 for our crappy internet. It gets great ping, but the download times are annoying.

I'll visit you guys when I see my folks in billerica if you like.

Here's mine (much faster than the old apartment I had. Shentel/ AM3's NTC service left MUCH to be desired.

I split the above with 4 other people. It works out well in terms of performance / monthly cost.

It's nice having 50mbps except p2p and Netflix are always throttled so what's the point?! Netflix still streams at far below HD quality on my fibre optic network and torrents still download at ~800kbps. Not happy. Not happy at all.

I'm getting totally butt-ffffed over here..

Verizon..  85 down, 39 up   + TV   for $105 out the door this month, who knows what crzy price change lays ahead... and if I don't get the TV, it's still $85.... wtf...

When I got my new router, the first speed test I did had 0 ms ping. Wat.

I accidentally closed the browser in the middle of the test. :(
