Sick price, I've owned two of the regular S4 and S4i, a little bass heavy, but for $40 they're an absolute steal.
Current: HHKB Pro 2, 87u 55g 10AE, FC600C, Model M 1391401

For all TRRS 3.5mm plugs and all TRS 3.5mm jacks I know of, the third connection will either be grounded or not connected. Either will allow the rest of the device to work normally.

So if you plug it into the TRS jack on the front of your computer you will be able to listen to music as normal, but not use the mic.

I've ask because a guest at my house killed my old sound card by using a trrs headset it shorted out the output..

Aw man... would've liked to have tried these. I've heard good things.

Hated these headphones with a passion

Why??? Maybe your answer will make me feel better for missing it :D But I really am curious. I recently bought KOSS KSC75's though recently for use in bed.

I couldn't stand the noise the cable made when you were walking. It was unbearable after a few days of walking to campus. The black rubber piece under the earphone itself, where the cable attaches, needs to be longer to give the cable more "support" and prevent it from moving as much when you walk. Also, they didn't seem to fit in my ears as snug as other in-ear's, regardless of what size tip pieces I used.

I had to send this back after 2-3 days of use. Bought a pair of  Shure SE-215 IEMs and haven't looked back.

Yeah, I've heard great things about the Shure SE-215's. Thanks for the heads up on cable noise though :D
