For Christmas I got a plastic sled to pull my baby boy, and I bought my family a piano.  My wife plays and has fond memories of it and I am interested in learning.  Tonight I learned the C major and minor scales and now I can play two C major scales at the same time.  :)  I swear, I am not OCD at all.  haha

What kind of piano? An actual grand or something reasonable?

My scool has a BEAUTIFUL grand in our lobby, and I play a little bit during my free periods.
i got us this

My wife and I tried out about 10 different models in the store and despite being relatively inexpensive it had a better sound and feel than others more than twice its price.  Apparently this one is new this year and has been blowing away the reviews.  We are enjoying it already.

Awesome! It's great to have an instrument in the house. I have very fond memories of my dad playing guitar when I was young, and it definitely influenced me picking it up myself.

Haven't weighed it, though I'd assume it's pretty close. It's the softcover, not the hardcover edition, though we had the hardcover edition at one point.

It is. I loved the hardback when we had it, and I'll love this too (not that I'll love my other gifts...my knife is pretty damn awesome too, but still)

Let's not overgeneralize and lump everyone into categories just because of their age.  There are people of all ages posting pretty embarrassing things at times, and singling members out just because they are young only leads to derailments as seen on this page.
