Tapatalk Alternatives - got any?
« on: Thu, 06 February 2014, 19:44:52 »
I know we have quite a few Tapatalk users here.
What else do you mobile geekhackers like to use to browse this forum?
I usually stay away from Tapatalk unless I need to upload images/attachments because of the app's poor information density.
Most browsers work well enough but aren't quite optimal.

Your Tapatalk works? I can't get mine to connect to the GH forum. Other forums, including DH, work perfectly fine. I wonder what the problem is..

When browsing from my phone i greatly prefer Tapatalk. It works much better lately, but I like using the dark theme.

But it's really hard to navigate the forum on your phone using Chrome

Same here..everything loads fine with LTE except for GH.  On WiFi is fine though..

Are you using the bandwidth saving mode?

Hmm...I uninstalled Tapatalk and reinstalled it again. It seemed to fix whatever the problem was.

What version of Tapatalk is everyone using? I've got my old .ipa file of Tapatalk that I keep reverting back to on my iPhone because I can't stand the new version. I'm on V1.17.1

4.4.2 the regular android edition. I was considering buying pro but I normally just use a browser for BBS browsing on the tablet anyways.

Tapatalk crashes for me all the time on Android.  Still usually better than using the web browser.

What version are you running?

I had to uninstall completely and then install one of the newer versions. Also clearing out the cache seems to help.

Crashes in both the older version (3.x I guess?) and the newer version 4.  Haven't tried uninstalling yet.
