My family never bought a whole turkey or even attempt at cooking one as I was always told the drumsticks are too hard/chewy to eat. So... Thanksgivings for me is just another holiday that gets in the way / extra break time for me. )
Haha, you're missing out I feel! The trick is to brine the turkey properly before roasting it, which will ensure the meat stays juicy
Welcome back to Canada btw, I'll have to find some time to visit you.
Ohhh Heston Blumenthal. Apparently his restaurant in the uk needs a few months reservation in advance...
I've always wanted to go to The Fat Duck... definitely on my itinerary when I visit the UK.
Do all Canadians shave their heads and dress up in formal attire to cook turkeys?
You mean you don't? (That's Heston by the way, awesome Chef!)
I am not Canadian, and do not live in Canadia.
Haha, I know that. So what do you Aussies do for Thanksgiving? Roast wallaby?
