Good PS3 SHMUPS

I have Deathsmiles, Under Defeat, and Otomedius but I'm having some difficulty finding anything else that looks decent. Maybe some good imports?

Hard copies are preferred since I'm also a collector, and digital DL's have no intrinsic value.

Yeah I'm serious, just discovered some hidden imports with a little intensive Googlefu.
Caladrius Blaze and Mamoru-kun wa Norowarete Shimatta! 

Guess it's something, although both are a tad pricey for me ATM.

on most of the modern shooters, I find they don't have as much heart as the older ones..

The older shmups had good level design that didn't look like every level was just copy and pasted, or someone just randomly placed elements any-ol-place..

Like underdefeat you already listed.. it's so good...  I only have the rom for dreamcast hehe.. but it runs well enough on PC..

So much these days is just a reskinned Lifeforce, R-Type, Alpha Mission, or Touhou game. Like they don't even try to hide the fact that they are straight ripping code from these games. Many Lifeforce clones even have the same level designs with different art assets.

That's just the nature of the genre though.
