Keyboard or Girlfriend?
« on: Fri, 27 March 2015, 19:50:13 »
Sure it's an I-Rocks promoted keyboard - but I'm sure it could apply to any.

Click here for the video if it does not show up below:

It really depends on how pretty the girlfriend is.

If she's 7+  .. it's 50/50, flip a coin..

If she's 8+ .. 2/3,  flip 2 coins, if u get heads 2 times, pick keyboard.

The hard part, is if she's the type of girl that gets more than +1 from makeup ..

--ur gonna need some D20s to figure that out..

Is it really keyboard or the game he was playing? Besides, which self respecting GH would sacrifice a girl friend for a full size commercial keyboard. If it's a SSK, I might even believe that video.

You know, from the accent and the word that guy used at the end of one of his sentence (the word "lah"), I think he's either a Malaysian or Singaporean. We don't treat girlfriends that way! :p

I'm beginning to suspect a girlfriend would be cheaper than this hobby. >_>;

In favor of: Keyboard

Trading a keyboard that doesn't satisfy for one that does won't make you feel guilty.
Switching keyboards several times a night isn't a logistical nightmare.
Its easier to restore a keyboard that's been abused by a previous owner.
When you ask your best friend if he wants to swap keyboards he doesn't wonder if his keyboard will agree.
Keyboards are low maintenance and age gracefully.
Smashing your keyboard against a wall because its too loud won't result in a court order.

In favor of: Girlfriend

Keyboards aren't self-lubricating.
Keyboards can't clean themselves, let alone the rest of the house.
Banging away on your keyboard for hours isn't something you can brag to your mates about.
Nobody wants to settle for an ugly keyboard that's riddled with imperfections.
There's nothing cool about snorting coke off the backplate of a keyboard.
May all your key presses strike true.

I apologize to at least three of my keyboards daily. My Monoprice for letting it get disgusting when I was using it and for not using it anymore, my Infinity for not using it more, my Kinesis for being too lazy and cheap to get it repaired, and now I'm apologizing to my Code because my F is just so much more satisfying.

I don't think this problem would exist. The keyboard love would be in harmony.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

How do you know I wasn't deliberately steering him towards the keyboard using ambiguous language to cloak the 50/50. Casinos do it all the time.
