Why's it gotta fall apart to make moves? Three years ago I moved 900 miles west from my hometown to work my dream job. My second time in Ohio was to shop for an apartment.

But actually, my backup plan is the same as the OP. If I can no longer persue my current career or my side jobs, I'd move to NYC and open a pizzeria. Truly a failsafe plan .

Man, I take this totally different.  My life is chaotic causality.  I don't fight entropy, I just go where it takes me.  If tomorrow it all fell apart, it would be no different than the day before.  A diverse skill set, no roots planted, and an abused liver can get you through anything.
