I just bought the Xbone deal that the microsoft store was offering ($349 500GB Xbox One w/ GOW + ACU + 2 Free games of your choice.). Figured it wouldn't get much better than that for Black Friday for a new console with all the games. I also have a PS4 but I've never played the Halo series before, so I figured I might as well take the plunge.

I bought an Xbox One when I saw a deal come up about 6 months ago and I've only gotten around to playing it around 10 times or so. I can never justify buying a game for xbox that is already on PC where I could be playing with much better graphics, fps, etc. I'm a huge Halo fan so that's the main reason why I bought my xbox one, even though I still haven't bought Halo 5 yet. It's not the same without Bungie.

If you're down with "controllerz"  Halo 5 is a very good iteration of the series..   They haven't changed the Pace of the game much at all,   so it still feels distinctly HALO.

I'm disappointed that Halo 5 doesn't have the same ranking system as Halo 3, I remember spending so much time getting as many 50s as a I could and then ended up being General Grade 3 until somebody stole my account . I was never really good at sports but when it came to shooters that is where I shined, my lowest K/d ratio in any Call of Duty ever was a 2.29 in World at War. Too bad CoD has gone to **** even more.

I'm not sure TODAY as an adult is the greatest time to be grinding HALO ladders.. but.. yea  it was super-fun back in the day.

If I had to choose between the PS4 and Xbone I'd go with the Xbone. Better controllers, better network, I prefer the PS4 exclusives but they are all one or two years out and the One already has a bunch of solid exclusive titles and a lot of good remakes/collections. But what really sells it for me is being able to play my 360 games on it. PS4 can't do that.
Also the Elite Controller is very nice. Would recommend if you have the money. It's very very nice. 

But honestly, I play my Genesis and SNES more than I play any of my newer consoles anyway.

Yeah who am I kidding, I rarely have to be playing A video game let alone sitting at the screen for multiple hours a day. My parents thought I had a problem as a kid, I did play a lot of sports though until 9th grade.

If you stop paying for PSN+ then you do lose the ability to play those "free" games as well.

Get a console there are tons of great console exclusives and it's very hard to emulate last gen and current gen games on a PC.
