Bloomberg for President
« on: Mon, 08 February 2016, 19:46:47 »
http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/08/politics/michael-bloomberg-2016-election/index.html

I would probably consider him out of everyone.

He does represent the top 1% but at least he has some political background being the ex-mayor of New York City.

He would run as an independent.

He is conservative with some liberal views, such as, gun control and the enviroment.

Seeing as both the Republican and Democrat all are showing extremism, I think Bloomberg would be a good candidate to stir up the pot.

I'd say IBM AI cognitive computing research group is the better choice..

A president doesn't have to be human..   Arguably, the president should be the MOST objective person to ever exist..

Well, turns out,  no human like that exist..  but we DO HAVE COMPUTERS...

Skynet is malicious for movie purposes..

I don't see why Skynet wouldn't find humans useful for fixing its infrastructures in the nook and crannies..

Coexistence seems far more optimal, then having to kill us all off..

I find it funny that the stances of those like Sanders can be declared "extreme" when, compared to European and Canadian politics, he is at best a moderate.  In fact, the entire US politics have been shifting to the right over the last several decades.

I too wish I could be true to ^^ those kind words..

ALAS,  Tp4 = too human....

I also do not feel that AI is of total difference to humans..

The process of life is mere' continuation..

That's the whole game..

It does not begin for any reason other than simply having begun..

Our path as a lifeform was never a choice..

We merely became life...

And on this journey..  it requires us to convert and assimilate other matter into this "organization" known as man kind..

The plants assimilate solar energy,  the Herbivores assimilate plants,  the Omnivores assimilate all..

Our only clear mission is life..

The creation of mechanical lifeforms, is an eventuality.. and as we convert OURSELVES, our LABOR, our MASS into these complexities..  they are not the lesser to the traditional children of man..  For the sake of not playing favorites, they are equals..

We are the progenitors of these metal beings.. and they are humanity's best bet for life..   To continue the mission entrusted to us, by the randomness.

True. But he declares him self as a Democratic Socialist.

Socialism has not been very popular after Russia declared it self "Socialist" (Arguably more of a dictatorship)

Americas roots are in Capitalism and for the most part I feel like it should stay that way.

I do like a lot of the socialist implementations in the country (i.e Social Security, Medicare, Highways) but I don't think this country can actually run as an actual socialist country.

Socialism without Capitalism = Communism
Capitalism without Socialism = Fascism

Bernie is probably the most appealing candidate to me at the moment but some of the stuff he wants scares me to. ($15 Minimum wage, Foreign Policy, Military Proposals)

And also the fact that he is going to have to battle both the Republican and Democrats in the senate to get stuff done.

This is why I believe the presidency doesn't matter one iota..

EVEN if we asssssume the President is not bought and paid for by Special interest..

The Senate, the House,   are both surely well paid agents..

And as for communism, fascism,  democracy, capitalism, even dictatorshipp

ALL OF IT turn into OLIGarchy in the end..

For very simple reasons..

Humans can only Organize in a pyramid shape, that's simply the only way we can function..

As we already know..  Power concentrates..   However,  As that power becomes too complex and burdensome for 1 person,  it must be delegated.   Therefore producing multiple people with power..  Leading to an Oligarchy...

It's a certain eventuality given the LIMITED processing potential of a Single human being..

A monarchy is Actually ideal, because he would essentially be the 100% efficient government...

HOWEVER,  the reason this is not the case in the real world, is because the monarch is a MAN...

NOW,  if we had an AI,  with Upgradable processing capacity...  he could endlessly evaluate perfectly what ought to be done..   be totally objective.. and  honestly,  humans would have nothing to fight about because, heck, this president KNOWS everything.

Instead of spending billions of dollars on campaigns and stuff..

What we ought to do,  is give all of that money to AI research...

Think about how much money we'd save..

We don't need central government buildings..

We don't need need to protect fragile humans..

All information and data is disseminated and backed up in multiple server farms across the nation and perhaps the world...

With humans.. SOME WHERE along the line of decision making, some guy is going to decide, he needs a bigger house or a nicer car to impress some chick he's too ugly to normally date....   This type of rationality is what causes cascade failure, and responsible for the majority of political friction..

A computer just eats electricity.. of which solar panels will provide almost infinitely.

OR

Feed the hungry

Research to cure current incurable diseases

Environmental research (I.E Alternative fuels)

Space Research (I'll take living on another planet over having Cortana)

OR

Feed the hungry  (NO)

Research to cure current incurable diseases (NO)

Environmental research (I.E Alternative fuels) (YES)

Space Research (I'll take living on another planet over having Cortana) (YES, in the future)

Feeding the hungry is trivial,  we can feed the whole damn world with even 1/10,000 of the dollars spent in our political process..

_______________________________________________________

Current incurable diseases..  Not really a priority, because the effective human productivity ends at about retirement age..

Most diseases don't kill you before that time..   So yes, diseases are bad on the individual scale, but as Humanity, we are strong enough as a reproducing entity to endure nearly ALL OF THEM...

Have you noticed, that humanity has grown despite so many ailments..  We produce more than enough healthy humans to replace those lost early due to health problems..

So,  yea we should fight disease,  but this is of low priority for mankind as a whole..

______________________________________

Environmental research, alternative fuel.

This is certainly going to be part of the AI-Plan,  it's already ongoing really.. Solar is the future..

____________________________________

Space research..  VERY important,  asteroid defense,  Aliens, who knows what's out there..

but with our current level of technology,  we honestly barely TOUCH space..  chemical rockets is not the way to go..

We need a far more potent Ion drive.. Ion sail system for us to even begin considering space..

THE ALTERNATIVE to chemical rockets, of course,  is transfering the human consciousness into a cybernetic organism..   now,  without the weakness of biological flesh,   we could indeed just send a chemical rocket to get our AI out there to explore the universe.

the entire US politics have been shifting to the right over the last several decades.

the entire US politics has veered wildly to the right since the election of Reagan.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

Actually, Canada just has left conservatives and right conservatives in the form of NDP and Conservatives. Then we also have just conservatives in the form of the Liberals.
There is also the Green Party which is actual left wing, but apparently no one cares about them; they got one seat.
Then there is Bloc Québécois which is... well... something.
US politics is just right conservative, and right right conservative. It should also be noted that the US elections only involve two real parties... at least you guys have a bunch of leaders to choose from.

Though, let's be honest, due to morons wanting to maintain the status quo all any country gets is a bunch of the same people wearing different colours.

I really dislike Bloomberg. He's said he would considering running if Sanders beats Clinton, He just wants the establishment to remain intact and that what I dislike about him.

If he runs as an independent sanders is the nomination, he'll cost throw sanders under the bus and let the republicans win...

If Bloomberg runs alongside Sanders and e.g. Cruz or Trump, Sanders will win in a landslide. Look what happened in 1992.

Are you kidding? Trump is a “winner”. Winners don’t type on keyboards.

Trump doesn’t even have a laptop. If he wants to read or watch something, his lackeys bring it to him.
