Co-Parenting
« on: Thu, 25 August 2016, 11:50:00 »
 Hi All,

Just broke down this morning after a phone conversation with my ex-wife.  It's been five years since we divorced and I still struggle with co-parenting my daughters with her sometimes.  Can be very frustrating.  The kids are great, no big problems there, luckily.  Just wanted to say props to all those moms and dads out there who go through tough times, single or together.  The beginning of the school season can be a tough time.

If anyone needs to blow off steam or a shoulder to lean on, I'm here to listen, commiserate, and hug.  Keep your head up!  It's worth being a good parent!

Thanks,

MaNiFeX

It's always good to remember the kids are the innocents in these cases.  No matter the reason for the break-up, the kids had no choice, and it can be hard on them.

I always try to remember that whenever there are a rough times, or when they do something that could be painful to the others involved.  Think of the kids has become overused these days- but not in the case when you're dealing on that personal level.

Kudos to you!

Oh for sure.  Kids are #1 and have been throughout coparenting with my ex-wife.  It's why I'm willing to put in the work to parent with someone who left me...  It's tough enough to have a split household, and after going through my parents' divorce, the last thing I want is for my kids in the middle of my ex and I and any sort of issues we have.  Luckily, we communicate with each other and can parent apart, but sometimes... it gets super tough and I have to do my best to stay composed.

Kids are back to school with all their supplies and are clothed, fed, and loved.  That's what matters.

Have a great one and thanks for the kind words,

MaNi
