Video Cards
« on: Fri, 03 March 2017, 01:40:02 »
So my 7950 is finally getting a little long in the tooth and I sometimes get grey screens in BF1.  Do I drop $190 on an RX480 8GB or do I wait for Vega to come out?  And, if I do drop it, who wants to help me fund it?

There you go Nubs, come over to the Intel side. Just realize that Elrick might call you a "feltcher" so be ready for that.

Pick up a 1070/1080 used, I bet you'll find some sweet deals from people jumping ship to 1080ti.  My 670 is still hanging in there but all I play is Overwatch on 1080p.

That would be a great deal.  It's a heck of a card.  The first card I've ever had zero issues with. I mainly play Overwatch, so nothing too demanding, but I've always been able to run max settings  with a solid 144fps at 2560x1440.

I generally hate all keycaps. Keycaps are for poofs. Real men touchtype on stems. Non-functional artisans are awesome, I use them for the ESC key ... escape is for cowards anyways, real men go frontal assault.

I still remember my first video card, a CGA. After yellow-and-brown monochrome, it was incredible.

Check my keyboard video reviews:
