X-Bows: Radial pattern mechanical keyboard
« on: Fri, 17 March 2017, 07:56:00 »
A new layout that could surprise many people, with multiple combo and colors to choose from.
Some new models that never appear in the market before

The right side looks like a mess to me.

The right side looks like a mess to me.

Reminds me of those annoying street intersections where different street layouts collided.

This is a quarter measure.. towards a tented split keyboard..

As far as FLAT layouts could be done,  this board does mostly right in that regard.

/Larger thumb keys
/Columnar alphabet keys

The one issue however, is that the keys fan out.. at the top, that seems like an odd choice, because your fingers do not become narrow as they close.  it's a straight line.

I'm not sure why this fan approach is being used.

I believe they're incorrectly tracing the finger path based on a GRIP motion.

where you'd spread your fingers while going from a grip-extension into a fist.

When you type that does not happen,  one does not naturally extend their fingers laterally if they're not trying to grasp at something..

It's a cute idea but doesn't really have a need. Your fingers go straight and parallel just fine.
I typed this post on my Slanck. I also developed a stronger, cleaner, easier handwiring method.

It's just another version of a keyboard already in the market. I can't remember the name but it has a really bad reputation.
