Are MXC Greens really 3x as tactile as MX Blues?

So with all the hubbub concerning the K-Type drop, I took a look over at Input Club's switch guide and I was rather amazed by their force curves for the MX blues and greens. While the blues register a 10cN tactile bump, the greens measure 28cN. Having never used greens, I have to ask, are greens really that much more tactile? If so, why?

that's not a measure of tactility.


it's only a measure of the Resistance of the spring AT THAT POINT of key-travel.



If anything the mx green is LESS tactile, the vibrational (tactile) response feels less significant relative to the greater force you are exerting to depress the key.

To me, mx greens do feel more tactile. The click feels clickier.

I know where tp4t is coming from, and he is technically correct.  That said, my fingers like greens because, to me, they feel more clicky (and less rattly/jagged/loose). 

Looking at the force curves for the two switches, the bump for greens and the bump for blues is almost identical in size. So in theory while you lose some clickiness, I don't think you lose enough to overcome the fact that greens are harder to press (which makes it feel clickier, imo).

I recently gave a try to green stems with Korean 65g springs on my sixty and I found them to be too clicky and too heavy. Tactile? not really, I feel the ergo-clears to be far more tactile than greens; but, they are more tactile than stock blues.

This appears to be a measurement artefact. HaaTa has mentioned when I asked about some sudden force drops that these wiggles can occur. If you look at the official force curve of MX green, you can see that no such drop exists:



Of course, such force curves are idealised, but they also represent an average, which HaaTa's force curves do not. In fact, if you look at press 2 and especially press 3, this is not the case. The tactile bump on both switches is therefore only really about 10 gf (maybe 12 gf on MX green) which explains why they don't feel all that different.
