NFC is awesome for original picture-quality sharing between Samsung devices, use it all the time. I buy everything on Amazon so no need for NFC payment..

I got a replacement debit card in the mail the other day, which is "contactless", i.e. similar tech to NFC. Payments up to $25 can be deducted without pressing OK on any terminal.
That's bull****. I have studied user interface design; You just don't remove a forcing function!
This tech could be used from afar if the transmitter is just boosted a little: it opens up a whole lot of opportunities for fraud.
Unfortunately, the bank has made it difficult to disable it: It can't be done online or via telephone menu, I will have to go to an actual bank office or wait in line for a clerk on the telephone.

Sadly the NFC feature atleast in credit cards has major flaws in security, and you can actually scan a credit card and get all the info except the ccv code. I do think the technology is really cool but I´m not planning on using it any time soon.
Very busy with studies atm.

Used it twice. My banking app lets me do the phone tap pay thing. Did it once to pay for food in a restaurant about a year and 10 months ago when I first heard about it because I was like get ****ed, no way, are they for real. Then did it once more when I forgot my wallet about 2 months ago and was getting lunch.

The end

Hhahahahahaha

U know what'd be hilarious..

If australian brothels implanted their -workers- with NFC payment capsules.

And to pay for service, you just -boop- their NFC spot with ur phone..

OH god.. this is going to happen, why not, it's so convenient..   Doesn't have to be secs service.. It could be anything, carwash, (regular) massage, gym trainer, swim lessons...

Yeah. The most convenient spots would be the forehead or the right hand: that way you could pay as part of shaking hands.
And they could have a tattoo at the spot so that you would know where the spot is ...
