HiPro keycaps: clackier by nature?
« on: Thu, 26 April 2018, 23:41:20 »
Every YouTube video I watch that features HiPro keycaps, you can hear a very plasticky clack sound. Is it the profile that causes the increased plasticky sound?

Nope, it's the slider housing. It extends up from the plate and makes contact with the inside of the keycap.
It's like, dude, you gotta re-evaluate
Your perspective and your priorities, because
You started doing this because it was ****ing fun, you know?
It has to be fun
Otherwise, you're just torturing yourself, you know?
You're... you're just stuck inside your own ****ing head

I put some Hi Pro on my HHKB and it made it more clacky so yeah it also has to do with the profile.

Taller keycaps tend to be more prone to bunching up at steeper strike angles
