Any D&D players on GH?
« on: Wed, 31 July 2019, 18:54:39 »
I've always wanted to play, and have read through a few of the beasteries multiple times. I just never had anyone to play with, and it must be difficult finding a good and knowledgeable DM.

Anyone here play? What would people think of a GH D&D night over Discord or something?

also Dragon Turtles are the best creatures, fight me.

None? No one on all of GH plays Dungeons and Dragons? Too busy spending paychecks on little plastic bits for your immensely overpriced custom keyboards in an effort to impress total strangers online to nerd it up with friends irl?

The trick is, you gotta promise that there will be grils..  but then when every one gets there, be like, oh they went to the mall with friends,  but here's mountain dew Code-Red, and u can drink as much as you like,  then lock the door behind you as there is no escape, from the fun..

What race and class would tp play?

I think it would be great to have a D&D GH night like a couple times a month or something. The main thing is finding a seasoned DM because I know exactly jack **** about actually playing.

There's so much available material I wouldn't know where to begin. I'm just getting into it myself, trying to decide if 3rd or 5th Edition is the way to go. Apparently 5th is more streamlined for noobs which appeals to me being new, but most people like 3rd Edition better. IDK why.

Mainly I wanna play 5th because I can be a Torlte, who aren't in 3rd.

I was looking on here because it has nice little pictures next to a brief description

Whenever I read about D&D, I can't NOT think about this Christian anti-D&D propaganda comic xD . Here's one panel:

It's absolute comedy gold on par with the witchcraft Harry Potter stuff xD .

8 years ago me and a few friends did a voice-over for the whole thing under the group name Them Cretins:

D&D is really fun to play; the more willing to be immersive the group the better. There's all kinds of cool online tools nowadays too; haven't ever tried them though, only have used paper.

I'm in the same boat. I've always wanted to play and even have a few book, but have never gotten the chance to play. If we end up getting something set up via discord, I would love to join.

We can have a party of up to 6-7 adventurers, plus a DM. The DM will make or break this idea, if we can't find a seasoned and knowledgeable DM willing to handhold a group of noobs through their first campaign this whole thing won't work.

There does seem to be a bunch of online tools where you can share sheets and rolls with people without having to be in the same room.

I used to play 25 years ago: very good memories with some of my best friends. We still see each other but we don't play D&D anymore.

I play RPGs but haven't played D&D proper for a while.
