While the AC is goin'

Tp4 peak ~7 kilowatt/hr

If you got a dial meter instead of digital, typically take 25920 / (seconds per revolution of the center fast spin disc).   That equates to the kilowatt/hr.

geez that's a lot. i borrowed a killawatt from the library at some point to check out how much power i was sucking up with my pc. the computer is like 50w idle, 300-400 under load, and my amplifier is surprisingly only pulling 40w. tcl tv, well, maybe you know its power consumption better than i do.

It's my damn ac, 5kw on its own. my guess is all the bearings and air vents are old and suboptimal.

Turn off your ac and all computers and you'll be fine.

That's what happens when you only have electric heat and it's near or below zero for weeks at a time.
