The real reason we're still not testing.
« on: Thu, 14 May 2020, 11:42:38 »
What happened is,  the Lobbyists (Pharmaceutical) said to the politicians, HEY, don't import, buy from us, we'll cut you in on the profits, contribute to your campaign, hookers, cocaine, the standard.

Politicians go, OK, kewl.

Korona happens, logistic challenges, they can't make the kits properly, can't deliver them, can't get them properly tested/ evaluated,   Trump team <the politicians who were privy to the cut is now on deflection>

But who really dropped the ball, well, everyone really, but it's the corruption that introduced the most lag time, and it is this same corruption that got 80,000 people killed, 120,000 thousand more to come.

USA possibly second only to Jpn has the strongest chemicon in the world, everything needed to make testing kits exist, all the talent, the capital, the technology, the infrastructure. We're hung up on Corruption.

They'd have you believe testing kits are this complicated thing, they're not, Thailand banged them out in mere days, THAILAND,  Think about it.

Some of y'all non-geography people might think, buh TP, Thailand make these high tech samsung fones,  y'all thinking of South Korea.

Thailand/ Myanmar/ Laos/ Cambodia  is like the South America of Eastern Asia.

perhaps
“No political truth is of greater intrinsic value, or is stamped with the authority of more enlightened patrons of liberty: The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands .… may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” —James Madison, Federalist 47
“All the powers of government, legislative, executive, and judiciary, result to the legislative body. The concentrating of these in the same hands, is precisely the definition of despotic government. An ELECTIVE DESPOTISM was not the government we fought for; but one .... in which the powers of government should be so divided and balanced among several bodies of magistracy, as that no one could transcend their legal limits, without being effectually checked and restrained by the others.” — Thomas Jefferson, commentary on Federalist 48

Lobbying needs to be outlawed, and the two party system needs to burn, ideally with a ban on all political parties of any kind as well. Madison never intended for this partisanship and tribalism (herd mentality) when framing our constitution. Only then will we ever be on course for a rational/(relatively) inccorupt/efficient government, and this applies to all 3 branches. Even the judicial branch is operating far outside of its allowed parameters, and has for at least a century.

Ridiculous, nonsensical political and social constructs, ideals, and policies that have unnecessarily plagued us for decades, even centuries, to the economic, psychological, philosophical, and even physical detriment of the people would begin to fade within a generation.

Requiring at least one general philosophy course in high school would be a good step in the same regard, even socially.
