Thought this might be fun to ask. I feel like there might be a connection between liking fountain pens and liking certain sorts of switches...

I use Parker pens and I prefer Matias or buckling spring.

Interesting question! I hope you can accumulate sufficient data to generate some meaningful correlations.

I have a Kaweco Liliput fountain pen.

My current favorite keyboards (for typing; I do not game):

+ F62 (Model-F switches), mapped to HHKB layout

+ HHKB Pro Hybrid Type-S (Topre 45g silenced switches)

+ Northgate Omnikey 101 (white "pine" Alps switches), mapped to HHKB layout

I don't use fountain pens, as I find them too scratchy in general, and the smooth fine nibs kind of defeat the purpose IMO.

I do however have a Tactile Turn Mover (in Ti), a Karas Kustoms Retrakt, Uni Jetstream Oily or Prime (a japan only version that is pretty amazing), and I always have a Sarasa Grand with either a Juice UP 04 or Energel LRN5 refill depending on mood in my Leuchtturm loop for work.

I'm a big fan of high quality retractable gel pens and pens that can take Pilot G2 sized refills.  Gotta be retractable for work!

For parker style refills, I actually have a Parker XL with the OHTO Flash Dry refill.  Absolutely the best fine tip refill for Parker style hands down IMO.

And what keyboard(s) do you type on?

Ah--forgot about that little tidbit.  Silenced CM Novatouch at work, and my home KB is a temporary garbo chinese hotswap (non kailh as I found out) with speed coppers while I wait for the KB I want to actually be manufactured during this crazy covid lol.  Also got an Apple M0116 with orange alps that will sit until I find a KB I find worthy of transplanting the switches into, a Pok3r with ergo clears that I only use for travel, an infinity with Matias Quiet Clicks, and of course a Model M.  Pretty much the whole spectrum!

I like TWSBI with F or EF nib for my pens, and BOX Navy, Topre, and Capacitive Buckling Spring (in that order) for my keyboards.

When I have something to write (which is not often, as tp4 suggested) I love fat fountain pens (the actual pen) and I use an ancient Parker Duofold with a wide reverse oblique nib and a Sailor 1911 with a Naginata Fude De Mannen (which I've never really mastered the variable thickness of)

My favourite keyboard at the moment is an acrylic 1800ish CP-SQ with heavy linear Zealios.
120/100g linear Zealio R1
GMK Hyperfuse
'Split everything' perfection
MX Clear
SA Hack'd by Geeks
EasyAVR mod
