Ssquad 2021
« on: Fri, 06 August 2021, 03:57:52 »
Yall seen this ?

Felt it was kinda crummy, but also kinda good at the same time.

Enjoyed the anti-establishment undercurrent, but filmography may be too try-hard falling flat on plausibility.

A person with a shark head? Yeah, right.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

I was a bit of a Superman fan when I was a little kid, and then a Batman fan in my teens.
But in recent years, there have been superhero overload, and now I can't stand yet another superhero movie ...

And I don't care for hard tone and the colour grading in these DC movies.
Superhero movies are supposed to be fun, not a chore to watch ...

... And I don't watch movies with Joel Kinnaman. He took a dump on one of my favourite franchises.

thought, Jungle Cruise was a slightly better movie.

Jolt, w/ Kate Beckinsale,  idk...  seems like the Wrong kind of girl power, it almost feels anti-feminist.

The first one was absolute garbage, I have 0 desire to see any other Suicide Squad movies. Especially when they aren't rated R as they should be if based off that comic series. All DC movies post-Nolan Batman are trash, convince me otherwise.

Aquaman was a fun afternoon romp with the kids, for all its absurdity. I enjoyed the experience of watching it more than I have the last several Marvel movies.
