HBO should pick up the cybrpunk anime.
Somehow anime just never got my attention, and I admit that I never watched Westworld.
When my kids were growing up we really enjoyed watching Miyazaki movies and I absolutely appreciate the craft involved in making them, but they simply failed to engage me either intellectually or emotionally. Although the visuals were mesmerizing it was like a veneer without a substrate.
Other stuff, like
Cowboy Beebop, which I did watch almost the whole first season, simply left me completely flummoxed and devoid of understanding or enjoyment even though I loved classic cartoons and comics when I was younger.
