We're still not there yet.
We need about 200-500GB per 90minutes to have theater Lvl image quality at 2K. 4K needs even more, and there's nothing for 8K.
Observe this scene, snapped from a 1080p SDR BD, Even HDR 4KBD would have trouble encoding this type of scene.
Look how blocky the shrimps are in the middle.

The only thing worse than not using 4K, is 4K @ low bitrate, they is just wasting bandwidth.

This doesn't mean much, since the picture will be compressed more than a blu ray.

The scene is not meant to be clear. It is an artistic representation of being overwhelmed by shrimp, it is meant to be an overload.
There are clearly motion blur, depth of field, and lighting effects being applied to the scene.
