If you are using USB,, then there is a chance that other USB peripherals May induce latency to your keyboard inputs. Because USB bandwidth has to be shared...
If you got USB 3.0 though, U can use that exclusively for your keyboard, for good results..
However, ps/2 port is the only way to get nkro
If you're using windows + usb,, You can change the USB polling rate to 1000hz for your keyboard to reduce latency, default is 125
