I'm looking to spend between $80-130 and am looking for a full size cherry mx blue keyboard. I originally was thinking of getting the cheaper Rosewill one from newegg but I don't know how I feel about that connector problem I have been hearing about (though I would probably be OK if someone pointed me to the best replacement cord to use and a how-to guide to solder it to the board).

Anyways, could you throw some suggestions around?

I was thinking of the Ducky DK9008G2 because of the PBT keys. Reading up on them gives me the general consensus that that they are usually preferred, so why not go all out right?  I found it at http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=49, but is there a better deal out there?

The other one that looked nice was the Vortex KBT ONE (http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=205). Though I am not digging the font on those as much and it seems to have a more grey quality to it.

In the end I am looking for a reliable keyboard that has blues.  PBT and the extra ten keys would just be a plus.

Personally everything I have purchased with the Rosewill name on it has ended up having issues (I am not talking keyboards) and I told myself I would never buy anything under that name again. With that said there are plenty of options for that price range, but not many come with pbt caps. The Ducky's are nice keyboards, but I dont like their NKRO over USB hack. This tends to lead to issues in some OS's which is why they are not mac compatible. If your only using windows this might not be a problem though.

From what I can tell the vortex kbt is a great keyboard, actually I almost purchased one myself. For the most part the reviews I have found have only good things to say about them.

Another option if you dont mind ABS is the leopolds from elitekeyboards.com. I have two of those and love them. My only real complaint is the non-standard spacebar, however newer keycaps are supposed to be compatible.

Last, but not least the CMStorm is a great keyboard. One of these plus pbt keycaps would still hit your price range http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-Mechanical-SGK-4020-GKCL1-US/dp/B00A378L4C

Can anyone provide more detail or comments on the Vortex KBT ONE keyboard?  I'm starting to lean towards that one but I want to be sure before I drop 120 bucks. Link: http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=205

My rosewill keyboards work great.

The rosewill brand is the newegg house brand. As such, the OEMs of the brand vary wildly and as such, so does the quality of each item.

Not a bad idea.

I was in your position awhile back, debating between ducky and vortex kbt One/Oni.  I ultimately went with the Ducky, due in part to the many problems folks here have had with support from Vortex and the almost complete lack of feedback on the One/Oni.

I am 110% satisfied with my ducky, and I just LOVE the pbt caps mine came with.  The PBT caps make a world of difference compared to ABS.  If the retro look appeals to you, have a look at some of the new PBT keyboards ducky has announced: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=429312137143886&set=a.117548801653556.22498.117547488320354&type=1&theater

One vote here for  Ducky :)

I just don't like the Ducky "picto" logo on the space bar.. other than that, ducky's great...

If I were to get the ducky keyboard then it would be easier to get different keycap colors that match. The vortex seems to have a different font and the letter is placed in the middle of each keycap. Something for me to consider at least.
