Hi, Is Ducky DK9008 Shine 2 good for me?

Hi, This is my 1st post and i'm new to forums.

I'm using my Logitech UltraX keyboard around 10 years now. I'm loosing interest typing on it. So, I do some research and youtube around. I somehow like the Ducky DK9008 Shine 2 Cherry Brown designs. So I've placed an order from MechanicalKeyboards.com and bought one myself.

What do you think about this one? Thanks

well, if you've already bought one, then you're here looking for confirmation that you've made the right decision...

And yes. you've made a fine decision.  this hobby will not likely end with one keyboard, so rest assure you'll get bored of MX brown, then buy a whole bunch of other stuff.

Ducky is a good brand. However, with backlit keys you are mostly stuck with ABS which are fine but more prone to wear than PBT. Some users are tough on their keyboards, wearing keys down within a few months. Others take a long time for the keys to wear.

I'm not a huge fan of tactile keys (I think I'm at the point where I prefer linear or clicky) but Browns may work well for you.

I'm looking into getting a backlit Ducky 9087 but my desired combination isn't available at the moment.

I've always been averse to backlit, knowing that it'll be impossible to replace the LED and color match.

At the moment there are only a couple of sets of backlight-friendly keycaps available.

However there is nothing stopping you from replacing the keycaps (should you decide to) with non-backlit ones, just the backlighting will not shine through.

Ducky Shine is a good, reliable board - not many problems reports with them at all (I have two).
