Stealth Quick Fire Rapid - HomeMade
« on: Tue, 22 January 2013, 01:31:23 »
So I was at my local Frys today and noticed that the QFR (Blues, no labeling) was on sale for $59.  I figured that it's a can't miss at that price.  I joined the Phantom GB and figured I can scrap it for springs to make my ergo clears, or use the case, although I think it won't fit the phantom.  In a worst case I figured I'd just give it to my Brother.  I saw the new pics of the CM QFR Stealth that's coming out, inspired, I through my old Filco caps on there to see how it looks. ... I like it.
On a side note.  I have a ducky with blues on it and they type COMPLETELY differently.  the "clicky" on my ducky is very evident.  However it is dampened on the QFR.  I like that alot.

Mine (branded, with MX blacks) was $82.  One of the last in stock apparently, and CPL does not list them any more.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Looking good, but why didn't you use the ninja win keys that came with the box.  The dome top printed ones just look out of place.

Otherwise I agree with this  :P

Wow that is insane! I may have to have a look at these leopold boards, I have seen them mentioned a lot here.

yeah, I know, I don't know where I put them, and I was too lazy to look for them at the moment, but I'll get to it.
